Terms of Service

The rules for using Travel Closet as a traveler or a host. Last updated May 2026.

Note: This is a demo concept page with placeholder text — not legal advice or enforceable terms.

1. Using Travel Closet

You must be 18+ and complete identity verification to book or host. Keep your account details accurate and secure.

2. Bookings

A booking is a request until the host confirms. The price you see is the price you pay — the daily rate times the number of days, with no added fees. Free cancellation applies up to 48 hours before pick-up.

3. Hosting

Hosts set prices and availability, describe items accurately (including colour, size, and material), and keep listings ready to rent. Travel Closet retains a 20% service fee per booking; hosts receive 80%.

4. Care & returns

Return items to the agreed locker by end of day on the return date — return dates can't be extended, as items are often reserved by the next traveler. Items are cleaned between trips. Excessive damage or loss may incur charges, subject to Locker Protect.

Late returns: by booking, you authorize us to charge the payment method used at checkout a daily late fee per late item (shown at checkout; between $10 and $50 per day), capped in total at the item's replacement value. An item not returned within 7 days of its due date is treated as a non-return and you will be charged its replacement value (stated on the listing and at checkout) minus late fees already paid. You are responsible for on-time returns regardless of any third party involved. See the Late Return Policy for details.

5. Locker Protect

Eligible bookings are covered against loss or damage up to the stated limit. Claims are reviewed case by case.

6. Prohibited use

No illegal items, misrepresentation, or attempts to take bookings off-platform.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is." Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
